More than $30 billion in tough-to-trade assets, including private stock (such as Facebook), private equity, bankruptcy claims, distressed debt, restricted stock, and cdos, are now listed to trade online to qualified investors by new companies.
This group of companies is trying to transform the nature of illiquid markets, increasing the transparency and efficiency of the traditional investment banking trading process by using the Internet and technology. Learn about their business models, where it's going, and what it means for traditional players.

Lawrence Allen, CEO, NYPPEX, is based in NYC and specializes in private equity.
Celestino Amore, CEO, IlliquidX, is based in London and specializes in European and Emerging Markets illiquid equity, high yield debt, trade claims, and debt restructurings.
Dan Burstein, Managing Parter, Millenium, which is based in New York, and is a family of private equity funds in technology and venture capital, and makes direct secondary investments in leading private technology companies.
Jeff Thomas, VP, Private Company Stock, SecondMarket, is based in California and specializes in shares of privately held companies.
Moderator: Steve Bertoni, Forbes, is based in NYC and is a Global Wealth reporter with Forbes Media.
