
Celestino Amore is the founder of Illiquidx LLP. He advises on and executes trades from illiquid equity in listed or private companies to high yield distressed and stressed debt, trade claims and performing or not performing, structured or plain vanilla bank debt. He also advises on alternative financing and debt restructurings for European SMEs and on restructuring of illiquid asset managers’ portfolios. Before Illiquidx, Celestino was Director at Advicorp Plc, where since 2003 he has specialised in trading convertible, high yield, trade claims, distressed and defaulted securities in different jurisdictions globally. Prior to that, he held positions in convertible bonds international sales at Morgan Stanley and HSBC in London. At HSBC, where he joined in 1998, Celestino also worked as an equity derivatives/relative value research analyst. Prior to that, he specialised in modelling derivatives as a financial engineer at Riskware Systems, a risk management software company. He holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and a Masters degree in Finance from London Business School. He is fluent in Italian and English.
Galina Alabatchka joins Illiquidx LLP as an investment advisor. Previously, she has held various positions at Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. Her experience in the financial services industry spans across pan-European M&A and LBOs, emerging markets private equity and pan-European credit research. Galina has also completed quantitative research and analysis in her fixed income investment management role. She is actively involved in advising, with a university team at Imperial College in London, large corporations and organisations on environmental and capital structure optimisation issues. Galina is also a trainer for investment banking and the CFA program. She has a BA from the American University of Paris (Honors) and an International MBA from the University of Chicago (Honors). She has been a visiting student to the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, the Sorbonne and INSEAD. Galina is a CFA charterholder. She is fluent in English, Bulgarian, Russian, French and Italian, and has working knowledge of other European languages.
