Celestino Amore

Prior to founding IlliquidX in 2009, Celestino set up the London office of a European family office specialized in the trading of distressed, defaulted securities and turnaround/distressed private equity investments across global markets. Until 2003, Celestino worked for Morgan Stanley’s International Sales team in London, where he focused on structuring and trading global convertible bonds and credit derivatives. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Celestino was an equity convertible bonds/equity derivatives/relative value sales and research analyst at HSBC. Before joining HSBC, Celestino started his career in the City of London in 1997 working as a financial engineer modelling FX, fixed interest and swaps derivatives at Riskware Systems, a London based risk management software company.

Celestino holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and a Masters degree in Finance from the London Business School. Celestino is also fluent in Italian and English.

Galina Alabatchka

Previously, Galina has held various positions at Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. Her experience in the financial services industry spans across pan-European M&A and LBOs, emerging markets private equity and pan-European credit research. Galina also completed quantitative research and analysis in her fixed income investment management role. She has a BA from the American University of Paris and an International MBA from the University of Chicago. She has been a visiting student to the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, the Sorbonne and INSEAD. Galina is a CFA charterholder. She is fluent in English, Bulgarian, Russian, French and Italian, and has working knowledge in other European languages.
